Here is Rachy's picture of her dad.Bill Surman died on December 13th 2000, three days after Rachel and I began dating, after a two-year fight with cancer. Other than the last five hours Bill spent on this earth, I have no memories of him other than the many stories Rachel has shared with me from her childhood. I would like more than anything else to be able to have met him, and I can only hope to love Rachel in a way that would have made him proud. This is one of Rachel's favorite photos of her dad. Unfortunately, in addition to being double exposed, it got soda spilled on it while it was in her car and the glass from the small picture frame stuck to it as you can see from the image on the left.
